PROPERTIES
Dandelion leaf (Taraxacum officinale folia) – Traditionally used to support liver health, nourish bones and joints, and stimulate urinary function to promote cleansing. Dandelion leaf has great antioxidant activity and combats systemic irritation and oedema. It helps promote normal blood sugar levels, purify the blood and encourage healthy fat metabolism and digestion.
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – Works to soothe the digestive tract, mitigate sugar cravings and promote respiratory and gastrointestinal health. Licorice has also been shown to have a restorative effect on the adrenal glands, due to its component glycyrrhizin, which has a similar structure to the hormones produced by the adrenals (including cortisol). Thus licorice may improve resistance to physical, mental and emotional stressors.
Rosehip (Rosa canina) – Rich in flavonoids and vitamin C, which are responsible for its antioxidant and immune boosting effects.
Lemon peel (Citrus limon) – Contains the constituent limonene, which has anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Lemon myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) – Rich in citral, which is anti-fungal, non-acidic and high in antioxidants that may prevent infections.
